Temporary Housing Officer\n\nHybrid Working\n💷 Negotiable Rate\n📅 3-Month Contract (Potential Extension)\n\nWe are currently recruiting for an experienced Housing Officer to join a well-established housing provider based in Derbyshire on an initial 3-month temporary contract.\n\nThis is an excellent opportunity for a proactive and customer-focused Housing Officer looking for a hybrid role with a supportive team environment and the chance to make an immediate impact within social housing services.\n\nThe Role\n\nAs a Housing Officer, you will be responsible for delivering a high-quality housing management service across a designated patch of properties. You will work closely with tenants, internal teams, and external agencies to ensure communities are safe, well-managed, and residents are fully supported.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\n * Managing a caseload of tenancy and neighbourhood management issues\n\n * Conducting tenancy audits, estate inspections, and property visits\n\n * Handling anti-social behaviour (ASB) cases and neighbour disputes\n\n * Supporting tenancy sustainment and vulnerable tenants\n\n * Managing low-level rent arrears and tenancy breaches\n\n * Working closely with safeguarding, repairs, and income teams\n\n * Delivering excellent customer service and housing advice\n\n * Ensuring accurate case management and record keeping\n\nRequirements\n\n * Previous experience working as a Housing Officer, Tenancy Officer, Neighbourhood Officer, or similar within social housing, local authority, or housing association settings\n\n * Strong knowledge of housing management and tenancy legislation\n\n * Experience managing ASB and tenancy-related casework\n\n * Excellent communication and customer service skills\n\n * Ability to manage a busy and varied workload independently\n\n * Full UK driving licence preferred\n\nWhat’s on Offer\n\n * Hybrid working – 3 days office based\n\n * Competitive negotiable rate\n\n * Immediate start available\n\n * Opportunity to work with an established housing provider\n\n * Potential contract extension opportunities\n\nIf you are an experienced Housing Officer available for your next interim contract, we would love to hear from you.\n\nApply today with your updated CV for immediate consideration
