Marketing Specialist

Working for an established, growing business my client is currently recruiting for an individual to join them during an exciting time of growth to lead their marketing division. The purpose of your role would be to plan, develop and implement marketing activity across all departments of the business, supporting the achievement of its strategic business aims, as decided by the board of directors.

Job Description

Role Specific Accountabilities


  • Co-ordinate marketing campaigns
  • Manage PPC campaigns on Google AdWords alongside SEO
  • Generate and analyse AdWord spend reports so that the company may make smarter investment decisions in this area
  • Creation and publication of marketing material
  • Create, maintain and enhance the company - and individual departments, brand image as supported by materials, advertisements and external communications
  • Plan and implement promotional campaigns
  • Identify and develop mutually beneficial relationships with other professional advisors
  • Outsource marketing activities to chosen external consultants as required, managing these relationships objectively and reporting back on their performance
  • Monitor and report on the effectiveness and profitability of marketing efforts
  • Create regular, original and insightful content for both existing clients and prospects
  • Plan, oversee and direct the company's marketing budget
  • Copywriting, creation of blogs, news stories for the company website
  • Create, maintain and enhance the company's presence on chosen social media channels
  • Assist with idea generation for group wide and department financial year and long-term marketing plans.
  • Decide upon short to medium term strategies to deliver said plans, implement these and report back to the board at regular intervals regarding their success or otherwise
  • Internal communications as required to share successes, relevant company news and sustain and improve cross department co-operation and team spirit.
  • Liaise regularly with department heads and account executives, keeping them appraised of marketing activity and understand what micro support can be offered and provide this where practical.
  • Maintain, extend and effectively segment both B2C and B2B prospect / client databases
